France
France hosted a relatively small but active group of Irish republican supporters, primarily concentrated in Paris. These groups often operated in intellectual and academic circles, producing translated material on the Northern conflict and hosting panel discussions in universities. French supporters were instrumental in introducing the republican analysis of the conflict to a continental European audience.

Germany
In West Germany during the 1970s and 1980s, a network of Irish republican support groups emerged, often linked to broader left-wing and anti-imperialist movements. These groups held public meetings, distributed literature, and organized protests outside British diplomatic offices, highlighting the parallels between the Irish struggle and other liberation movements worldwide. German solidarity groups frequently collaborated with Irish political prisoners’ campaigns and raised funds for republican causes.

Holland (Netherlands)
In the Netherlands, Irish republican support groups were part of a wider solidarity movement that included campaigns for political prisoners and anti-colonial struggles. Dutch activists regularly organized information nights, film screenings, and exhibitions about the conflict in the North of Ireland, often working with Irish emigrants and visiting speakers. Publications and newsletters in Dutch helped educate the public and counter British narratives.

Sweden
Sweden had a notable history of political activism, and Irish republican support groups found a sympathetic base among left-wing and anti-imperialist organizations. Throughout the Troubles, Swedish activists organized solidarity campaigns focusing particularly on the rights of Irish political prisoners and British repression in the North of Ireland.
